Christopher Bliss's 1995-96 Annual Research Report

Christopher Bliss (Professorial Fellow) enjoyed a year's sabbatical leave, much of which was devoted to research on economic growth and convergence, or rather the lack of income convergence shown in the data. Several of the resulting papers are with journals. Research on corruption jointly with Rafael di Tella has been completed and will appear in print in 1997. A tour of Australia in April/May included visits to the University of Sidney and the Australian National University. A paper on ergodic wealth distributions was presented at the Econometric Society European Meeting in Istanbul.

His position as a Managing Editor of Oxford Economic Papers came to an end. He has now joined asone of the new team of four Managing Editors of the Economic Journal.
