| Keeping up to date with new books |
Keep up to date with our new books in five easy ways:
- Check below for the latest accessions list. These are updated weekly, and most entries have links to publisher details.
- Have a look at our new books on the Library's Facebook page You do not need to be a member of Facebook to see these.
- Browse our new books on LibraryThing
- Subscribe to the RSS feed for information from LibraryThing using this link. Please ask us for help if you do not know how to do this.
- Email us declaring your interest and we will send you a regular reminder email when the accessions lists have been updated (usually weekly.)
Alternatively, you could always use the tried and traditional method of coming into the library and browsing our new books shelves on the first floor, on the way passing the noticeboard which displays the covers of selected highlighted items. Comments, feedback and suggestions for new books are always welcome.

The accessions lists give details of item added to the library
collections. The list covers books only, and not journals. Books added to the
confined taught course collection are not included. Items from the new books
display may be consulted and borrowed in the normal way.

The list is updated
weekly and the new books are displayed on the New Books shelves on the first
floor of the library. Book covers from recent acquisitions are displayed on the
noticeboard on the first floor landing.

Older accessions list

Official publications consist of British and foreign government publications, as well as material published by international organisations. The accession lists below cover books and annual serials recently received by the library. This material is displayed for two weeks on the first floor of the main library before being shelved in the extension. More regular periodicals are not listed here, but they are displayed in the periodicals room before being shelved.
| Donations |
This list shows donations the library has received as they are put out on the shelves. If you, or a relative have donated books it may take some time to process the donation. Therefore, there may be a delay before the books appear on this list.

Within each week's donations the lists are organised by shelfmark, ignoring the p (pamphlet) and q (quarto) prefixes where present. Special shelfmarks such as Safe, Nuf., and Ref. are shown at the beginning of the sequence. The online list is updated weekly and all new donations go straight out onto the shelves.
