Social science and general
AIM25 - "Archives in London and the M25 area" provides electronic access to collection level descriptions of the archives of over one hundred institutions within the greater London area.
Archives Hub - Representing nearly 200 institutions across the country, this service provides a gateway to UK archives. Search by keyword, title, creator, name or subject.
BUBL LINK - a catalogue of selected Internet resources covering all academic subject areas and organised according to Dewey Decimal Classification. All sites are carefully selected, evaluated, catalogued and described. Links are checked and fixed each month.
Intute - This site has been created by a network of UK universities and partners, and provides access to a huge quantity of thoroughly evaluated websites on just about all academic disciplines.
OxLIP+ - provides access to Oxford University’s extensive online collections including databases, collections of e-books and articles, and e-journals. Resources are generally restricted to bona fide members of the university.
Research Resources for the Social Sciences - a vast directory of sites maintained by published McGraw-Hill
Search Credible - searches a range of different sites and tools - although be aware that the quality of results may vary
Social Science Research Network - consists of "specialized research networks" in each of the social sciences, with each directed by experts in the field.
Social Sciences Virtual Library - part of the WWW Virtual Library, with links to social science sites, journals and organisations.

Economics
Bodleian Social Science Library economics libguide - an excellent starting place for locating economics resources at Oxford.
Economics Network - resources for lecturers in economics, including journals, statistics, datasets, and software archives.
Inomics - as well as hosting a database of research papers, this site holds information on economics-related conferences and job opportunities.
Intute: Economics - a collection of resources evaluated and categorised by subject specialists based at UK universities aimed at university students, researchers and staff.
Research Papers in Economics - dedicated to the dissemination of information and research on Economics. The database links published and unpublished resources produced by thousands of economists, who contribute to the site via institutional archives.
Resources for Economists on the Internet - lists more than 2,000 resources in 97 sections and sub-sections available on the Internet of interest to academic and practicing economists.

Bodleian Social Science Library politics libguide - an excellent starting place for locating politics resources at Oxford
Intute: Politics - provides links to papers, reports, articles and organisational websites relating to all aspects of politics and international relations.
Political Resources on the Net - listings of political sites available on the Internet sorted by country, with links to Parties, Organizations, Governments, Media and more from all around the world.
Political Science Resources - gateway to most significant resources in the area of politics and government..
Poly-Cy - offers a set of links useful for navigating the World Wide Web in the areas of political science, international affairs, public policy, and public affairs.

SocioSite - based at the University of Amsterdam, this site provides links to people, courses, newsgroups, research centres, publications, libraries, and data archives on sociological topics.
SocioWeb - holds materials relating to associations, surveys, statistics and university sociology departments around the world.
