Peter Hedström is Professor of Sociology at Oxford University and Official Fellow of Nuffield College. His main area is analytical sociology with a special interest in the dynamics of complex networks and network-based diffusion processes. His current empirical research is concerned with the evolution of inter-organizational networks, suicide contagion, and the dynamics of kinship networks. He is also developing software for network analysis and agent-based modelling using Stata.
