Hilary Term 2004
These lectures will take place at 11am in the South lecture theatre of the Examination Schools on Monday and Wednesday of weeks 1 to 4 of Hilary Term.
All the lectures can now be downloaded!
Recommended textbooks for this course are
- MA Mankiw, Macroeconomics, Worth Publishing.
- MS   Miles and Scott, Macroeconomics: Understanding the Wealth of Nation, Wiley.
- BW Burda and Wyplosz, Macroeconomics: A European Text, OUP.
- LC   Lipsey and Chrystal, Principles of Economics, OUP.
Mankiw is my main recommendation, with Miles and Scott also providing good coverage. Burda and Wyplosz is quite technical but may appeal to those of a more mathematical background. Lipsey and Chrystal is useful as background, but is too low a level in general.
