Research Interests: Demography; Sociogenomics; Sociology.

I'm a sociologist with the current research focus on social science genetics and fertility. I received my Diploma (Master equivalent) from the University of Bamberg in 2011. From 2011 to 2015, I was appointed as doctoral researcher and lecturer at the ICS Graduate School, University of Groningen. Since September 2015, I am working for the Department of Sociology at the University of Oxford as a post-doctoral researcher in sociogenomics on two projects. In the Sociogome project, we are investigating how the interplay of genes and the (social) environment influences individual life-courses. In the Socgen project, we focus on the methodological integration of genetic data into social sciences. The principal investigator of both projects is Prof. Melinda Mills. Prof. Mills has been awarded an consolidator grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for the Sociogenome project. For Socgen, we received a grant from the National Center for Research Methods (NCRM).
