Ginevra Floridi
I am a Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow in Sociology at Nuffield College, University of Oxford. Before joining Nuffield, I was a Research Associate in the Department of Global Health & Social Medicine at King's College London, where I remain affiliated. I have a PhD in Demography from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
My research interests lie at the intersection of Sociology and Demography, including:
- class, education and racial/ethnic divides in intergenerational transfers of support, and their relationship to contextual inequality
- exposure to violence and fertility intentions and realisations
- how social policies shape socio-economic inequalities in long-term care use and caregiving
- social norms and gender differences in family care
My primary methods of analysis consist of multilevel models, multivariate analysis and causal inference methods.
