Dr Gregg McClymont is Head of Retirement at Aberdeen Asset Management and an expert on defined contribution pension systems. Gregg was a Member of Parliament, Shadow Minister of State for Pensions, and sat on the UK Government’s Commission on Further Devolution to Scotland, 2014. Previously, he was a fellow at St Hugh’s College, Oxford. Gregg was educated at the Universities of Glasgow (MA) Pennsylvania (AM), where he was a Thouron fellow, and Oxford (MA, DPhil), where he was Marquis of Lothian scholar in history. He co-edited Towards a new pensions settlement: the international experience (Rowman and Littlefield, 2016) and a second volume is due in 2017. Gregg is also a board member at Pensions Quality Mark (PQM) – the not-for-profit non-statutory standards agency for UK pension schemes – and advisor to the AHRC funded project ‘Thatcher’s Pension Reforms’ in the University of Bristol.
