New Year's Honours 2019
Nuffield College is delighted to note that some of our alumni and former fellows have been honoured with an award in this year's New Year’s Honours List.
Two alumni were awarded CBEs: John C McCrudden (Law 1976) for services to Human Rights Law, and Alison Park (MPhil Sociology 1989), the newly appointed Director of Research for the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), for services to social sciences.
Associate Member Tim Harford (Visiting Fellow 2010-18) was also awarded an OBE for services to improving economic understanding. Tim is 'The Undercover Economist' for the Financial Times, and the presenter for BBC Radio 4's More or Less since taking over from Nuffield's Warden Andrew Dilnot in 2007.
