Nuffield Fellow awarded Honorary Membership of American Economics Association

Professorial Fellow Paul Klemperer has been made a Foreign Honorary Member of the American Economics Association (AEA) for his outstanding contribution to the field.

The award recognises economists of distinction from outside the United States, who are elected by the AEA's Executive Committee. New Honorary Members will be celebrated at the association's Annual Meeting in January 2023.

Other Foreign Honorary Members of the AEA include Nuffield Senior Research Fellow David Hendry, Honorary Fellows Amartya Sen and Ariel Rubinstein, and former Visiting Fellow Mervyn King (2002-2009).
