Professor David Kirk has been elected as Junior Proctor
Nuffield College is pleased to announce that Professor David Kirk has been elected as Junior Proctor within the University of Oxford for a period of one year beginning 15th March 2023. Dave was admitted into the role this morning in an official ceremony at The Sheldonian Theatre, along with his Pro-Proctors Professor Ridhi Kashyap and Dr Douglas Leasure.
Together with the Assessor, the Proctors are the University’s senior officers who oversee student matters and are responsible for upholding the University's statutes and policies throughout its governance and administration. The Proctors and the Assessor serve full-time for a period of one year and are elected by colleges on the basis of a rota.
