Applications open for Jemolo Fellowships

The College invites applications for Italian academics and scholars working on Italy to visit Nuffield in the 2023 to 2024 academic year

Nuffield College invites applications for the Jemolo Fellowships for the 2023 to 2024 academic year.

The Fellowships, named after distinguished lawyer and historian Arturo Carlo Jemolo, are for Italian academics or scholars whose work is on Italy. They were set up in the 1990s, thanks to a generous endowment from the Banca d'Italia, Banca Commerciale Italiana and Istituto S. Paolo di Torino (now merged into Intesa San Paolo), Banca di Roma (now merged into UniCredit) and the Assicurazioni Generali, and are being relaunched this year.

Jemolo Fellows will pursue research, further study or advanced training in Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Modern History or Public Law at Oxford. The Fellowships normally last between one and six months, and, although they do not carry a stipend, will cover travel expenses, accommodation in a College guestroom, meals and access to College Library and IT facilities.

The deadline for applications is Monday 14 November 2022. For more information and how to apply, visit the Jemolo Fellowships webpage.
