Scherwin Bajka

PhD candidate in International Affairs & Political Economy, University of St.Gallen

Scherwin Bajka is a PhD candidate in Political Economy at the University of St.Gallen. In his dissertation, he investigates how coordinated capitalism adapts to the knowledge economy. As a member of the GOVPET Leading House, he researches occupational segregation, social mobility, and education policy with comparative and experimental designs based on historical and survey data.

Previously, Scherwin Bajka worked as a research assistant at the ETH Zurich (Immigration Policy Lab / Collegium Helveticum) and as an intern at the Swiss National Bank's statistics unit.

He is a visiting junior scholar at Nuffield College for two terms (Hilary and Trinity 2024).
