Junior Common Room
Welcome to the JCR
The JCR (Junior Common Room) is both a physical room and a body of which all students are members, animates social life in Nuffield. (It corresponds to the Middle Common Room in other colleges.) Daily social life revolves around the JCR – which is shared with the Fellows and stocked with newspapers and magazines – and the bar, which is staffed by students living in College. The JCR provides support and coordination for a variety of student activities outside of study and research, including social events, sporting competition and student representation in College decision-making.
