Leo Azzollini

Non-Stipendiary Research Fellow
Postdoctoral Research Officer, Leverhulme Centre, for Demographic Science and Institute for New Economic Thinking, Oxford

I am a Postdoctoral Research Officer in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention (DSPI), the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) at Oxford Martin School, and in the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science (LCDS), at the University of Oxford. I am also a Non-Stipendiary Research Fellow in Sociology at Nuffield College.

As part of the DINA ERC Synergy Project, my current research focuses on the interplay between socio-economic inequalities and demographic behaviour, with a geographic focus on OECD countries. I am broadly interested in researching the causes and consequences of inequalities from different social-scientific perspectives, spanning sociology, demography, economics, and political science.

I have a PhD in Public Policy from Bocconi University, focusing on how social stratification and the life course shape political inequalities in Europe.
