Academic Profile

Thank you for your visit! I am Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow in Politics at Nuffield College, University of Oxford. I defended my PhD at the European University Institute (Florence) in July 2021.

My research focuses on how democracies generate norms against behavior associated with authoritarianism, and how these norms erode. You can read more about me and my research at my website: www.vicentevalentim.com.

Research interests: Comparative politics, political culture, social norms, causal inference.
