Will Orbán Win? National Elections in Hungary and the Future of Europe

This event is organised by the Europeanist Society

Abstract

With Viktor Orbán seeking to further extend his long tenure in power, the stakes of Hungary’s upcoming election reach far beyond its borders. Over the past decade and a half, Orbán’s leadership has reshaped Hungary’s political system and placed the country at the centre of debates within the European Union.

Will this election consolidate the current trajectory — or open the door to political change? What will this mean for the European Union?

The event is organised by the Europeanist Society. Sign-up is required here by 10 March.
