An informal Q&A with Alumnus Stephen Lambert (Politics 1981, British television producer and executive), hosted by the Warden, Andrew Dilnot, and the Nuffield College Development Office.
Stephen will talk about his career in media, what he thinks are the ingredients of success, and what the future of TV might look like. We are delighted to welcome him back to Nuffield for the first time in many years and we welcome questions from students, postdocs, and recent graduates.

About the speaker
Stephen Lambert, chief executive of Studio Lambert, is one of Britain's best-known creative television executives. His programmes have won dozens of awards, including BAFTAs and several Emmys. He launched the TV formats Gogglebox, Race Across the World, The Circle, The Secret Millionaire, Undercover Boss, Wife Swap, and Faking It. He is currently making shows for several UK and US broadcasters as well as streaming platforms Netflix, Amazon, NBC Peacock and Disney+.
Stephen launched a scripted division in his company in 2015 and the first drama, Three Girls about the Rochdale grooming scandal, won five BAFTA awards. This was followed by The Feed for Amazon and The Nest and Three Families for BBC One. He is currently involved, as chairman of scripted company Seven Stories, in making Nautilus, an ambitious returning drama series for Disney+ about the origin story of Captain Nemo from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
He began his career at the BBC in 1983, where he worked for fifteen years making documentary films and series all over the world.
