Join us to celebrate International Women's Day 2022 with this talk from former Nuffield Research Fellow Lea Ypi (2008-11), who will read to us from her highly-acclaimed memoir Free: Coming of Age at the End of History, and discuss women’s rights between East and West, socialism and liberalism.

About Lea

Lea Ypi is Professor in Political Theory at the London School of Economics and Political Science. A Nuffield College alumna, this year she published The Architectonic of Reason with Oxford University Press and Free: Coming of Age at the End of History with Penguin Press. The latter was shortlisted for the Baillie Gifford Prize, the Costa Prize, the Slightly Foxed First Biography Prize and chosen as a book of the year by (among others) The New YorkerThe GuardianThe Sunday TimesTLS and The Financial Times.
