Sebastián Villamizar Santamaría is an editor at Nature Cities, a new journal from the Nature portfolio focusing on urban research. Before that, he did a PhD in sociology at the CUNY Graduate Center and worked as a freelance editor, copy editor, and translator in Spanish and English for a variety of human rights practitioners. He landed fellowships at the Graduate Center’s Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies, which he described as “very instrumental and supportive. While there, he wrote and supervised several research reports as part of the center’s Latino Data Project.
How do social sciences fit in Nature journals? In this talk, Nature editor Sebastián Villamizar-Santamaría (he/él) will go over the process of publishing papers in these journals, the scope and format types they accept, and how the submission process works.
