Nuffield postdocs join Economic Science Nobel Laureate meeting

Nuffield Postdoctoral Research Fellows David Delacretaz, Susana Campos Martins and Sam Rowan will join other qualified young economists in Lindau, Germany, to meet with around 30 to 40 Nobel Laureates in the Economic Sciences.

The Lindau Nobel Laureate meetings bring together young scientists to meet with Nobel Laureates in their field and foster exchange between generations, cultures and disciplines of science. This year’s Economic Sciences meeting – the seventh – has been postponed to 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

On his nomination, David said:

"The meetings are a unique opportunity for young economists to learn directly from the best in the profession and to interact with their peers. I look forward to meeting new people, discussing research, and more broadly thinking about how economists can contribute to society."

The news was first announced by the Department of Economics.
