Public consultation for Oxpens site

The College and Oxford City Council invite ideas and feedback from the community on emerging proposals for the 'Oxpens' site

Nuffield and its OxWED joint venture partner, Oxford City Council, is sharing emerging ideas for ‘Oxpens’ in a public consultation taking place this July.

The ambition is for Oxpens to be a ‘new quarter’ for Oxford. With exciting ideas for new business space, new homes, opening up the riverside with outstanding public space, and a stunning new amphitheatre – the ‘Oxpens Amphitheatre’ – there’s much to consider as the 15-acre site alongside Oxpens Road and the ice rink is prepared for regeneration.

Warden Sir Andrew Dilnot said:

“Oxpens has the potential to support Oxford’s long-term economic growth and to provide new housing and public spaces for the city. It is exciting to have reached this stage of the design process for the site and now to be in a position to invite views from the people who live and work and spend time in the city so that we can understand what people most want to see achieved on the site. We hope in turn that these conversations and this consultation will help to make the proposals even better.”
