Martin Ellison and Silvia Miranda-Agrippino are the Directors of the Nuffield College Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Policy.

Martin Ellison

Martin is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford and a Professorial Fellow at Nuffield College. He gained his PhD in economics from the European University Institute in Florence and has worked as a consultant for the Bank of England and as a professor at the University of Warwick. His specialisation is macroeconomics; his main research interest is in economic policy.

Silvia Miranda-Agrippino

Silvia Miranda-Agrippino

Silvia is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford and a Professorial Fellow at Nuffield College. She gained her PhD in economics from Bocconi University in Milan and previously worked as a Research Economist and Policy Advisor at the Bank of England and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Her specialisation is empirical macroeconomics and she is involved in the editing of several academic journals.
