Morten Thomsen

Non-Stipendiary Research Fellow
Postdoctoral Researcher, Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science

Morten Thomsen is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Sociology and Non-Stipendiary Research Fellow at Nuffield College. His research centres around queer demography, the sociology of gender and sexuality, and mental health.

Morten currently works on studies on gender and sexual minority populations, focusing on outcomes in health, the justice system, and the labour market. He is PI of QueerVict, a research project on LGBTI victims of crime.

Morten holds BSc and MSc degrees in Psychology from the University of Copenhagen, an MPhil in Social and Developmental Psychology from the University of Cambridge, and a DPhil in Sociology from the Univerisity of Oxford (funded by a Clarendon Scholarship). He has since taken up the role as Postdoctoral Research Fellow.

Morten’s work is supported by the The Danish Victims Fund, The Independent Research Fund Denmark, and the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science.
