DPhil in Politics

I am a DPhil candidate in Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford, supported by Nuffield College and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). My research explores how conflict-related sexual violence influences legislation on violence against women in Africa, using a quantitative and comparative approach.

Prior to starting my DPhil at Oxford, I graduated with honours from Carlos III University of Madrid, where I completed a dual Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology. I also studied a two-year Master's in Social Sciences from the Carlos III-Juan March Institute, with a focus on comparative economy and quantitative methods. Alongisde my academic work, I have served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate methodology courses, and I recently co-authored a paper on the international factors influencing the legalization of medical abortion.
