DPhil in Social Policy

I am a DPhil student in Social Policy, working at the intersection of comparative social policy, political economy and climate politics.

Specifically, I examine the socio-economic drivers of climate policy opposition in Western and Eastern Europe, investigating how various policy instruments can mitigate resistance to climate policy. Methodologically, I specialize in quantitative methods and causal inference. My doctoral research is supervised by Professor Jane Gingrich and Professor Kenneth Nelson.

Before coming to Oxford, I studied Social Sciences (B.A.) at Humboldt University of Berlin, as well as Sociology (M.A.) and Law at Goethe University Frankfurt and the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS) in Paris. Alongside my studies, I gained several years of work experience in research projects at Humboldt University of Berlin and Goethe University Frankfurt. In addition to my academic experience, I further developed my professional skills through internships at legal and governmental institutions, as well as in the NGO sector.
