London School of Economics (LSE) and Nuffield College Centre for Applied Macro Policy (NuCamp) invite submissions for Great Expectations, a conference on macroeconomic expectations to be held at LSE on Thursday, 3 June 2027.
Expectations are central to economic policymaking and to some of the great episodes of macroeconomic history. This conference will explore how expectations are formed, how they are measured, and how they shape economic outcomes. We welcome empirical and theoretical work examining these questions from both modern and historical perspectives.
The Keynote Speaker is Carola Binder (University of Texas at Austin and NBER)
The organisers are Martin Ellison (University of Oxford and CEPR) and Jason Lennard (LSE and CEPR)
Please send an abstract or full paper by 31 January 2027 to nucamp@nuffield.ox.ac.uk. Authors of accepted papers will be notified in late February. Limited funding may be available to support presenters’ travel and accommodation.
