Joseph Marshall

DPhil in Economics

I am in my third year of the combined MPhil+DPhil in Economics, supervised by Professor Martin Weidner. I primarily research theoretical network and panel econometrics. For example, my MPhil thesis explored how we can estimate network formation models without allowing for transfers between individuals, and my current research deals with issues of multiple equilibria in strategic network formation models.

Prior to joining Nuffield, I completed a BSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics at the London School of Economics and then worked for Professor Sir Timothy Besley as his Pre-doctoral Fellow on all things political economy. I still have a side interest in political economy and applied work more generally (please see below).
