Nuffield College holds remote Giving Day for 2020
Five Nuffield students will call alumni and friends of the College from Sunday 29 November to Tuesday 1 December to see how they are doing and share what they are working on.
We will also use the Giving Day to launch the College’s new ‘Early Career Research Fund’. Generously started by alumnus Alan Rich (BPhil Economics 1975), this new fund will be ‘spend-down’, allowing the College to meet the immediate needs of those researchers whose work has been disrupted by the pandemic or who have an important and time-critical research project to fund.
COVID-19 has disrupted all our lives, and our student helpers (pictured right) are no different: this year, they will all be calling from their own rooms rather than gathering in the Butler Room.
