Nuffield's Giving Day will take place on 17 and 18 June 2026

On 17 and 18 June 2026, alumni, former and current Fellows, friends, students and staff will come together for Nuffield Giving Day 2026. Over 36 hours, members of the Nuffield community around the world will celebrate the College, share memories, take part in challenges, and support the next generation of social scientists.

This year's Giving Day theme is simple: Support Students. Nuff Said.

The campaign will raise funds for two student-focused priorities: endowed scholarships and student support funds.

Giving Day will be about much more than fundraising alone, however. It is an opportunity to celebrate what makes Nuffield special: a global community connected by a shared commitment to social science, intellectual curiosity, and supporting future generations of students.

Throughout the campaign, supporters will be able to share memories on the Giving Day Memory Wall, take part in challenge matches, follow along on social media, and watch as donations arrive from around the world. Current students, staff, and Fellows will also be joining the celebrations, taking part in activities and challenges designed to showcase the spirit of the College community.

As Director of Development, Caroline Kukura, commented:

"The landscape of graduate funding is changing rapidly. Across the UK higher education sector, government funding and scholarship support are under increasing pressure. At the same time, students face rising living costs, longer periods of study, and growing financial uncertainty. Competition for the world's most talented graduate students continues to intensify, and institutions must work harder than ever to ensure that financial circumstances do not become a barrier to academic excellence.

"For Nuffield, maintaining our ability to attract and support exceptional students from around the world remains central to our mission. Philanthropy plays an increasingly important role in making this possible. Giving Day provides an opportunity for alumni and friends to collectively support initiatives that directly benefit students while also helping raise awareness of the challenges facing graduate education today."

Amongst the philanthropic goals of Giving Day 2026, we hope to fund more endowed scholarships - such as the Jean Floud Scholarship, which will be launched on the same day - and to bolster the College's Student Support Fund. Find out more about these funding projects.

How to join in:

We hope alumni, former and current Fellows, friends, students and staff will join us on 17 and 18 June for Giving Day.

Whether you make a gift, share a memory, participate in a challenge, or help spread the word with #NuffGiving2026, your involvement will help support current and future students and strengthen the future of the social sciences.

Together, we can help ensure that every student at Nuffield is fully funded, fully supported, and able to make the most of the opportunities available to them.
