Applying for accommodation

New students who are eligible for residential accommodation will receive confirmation of this from the College Registrar, and an accommodation application form will be included in your offer pack. You will need to complete and return this form by the deadline stated (normally the end of April). If you do not return your form by the deadline we will assume that you do not require residential accommodation. Completing the form does not mean you will automatically receive residential accommodation - the Accommodation Manager will write to you within one month of the deadline to confirm whether or not the College can accommodate you. A blank licence agreement will be attached to the email so that you can read it before deciding to accept any accommodation offered.

Accessibility requirements

It is very important, if you have any accessibility requirements based on disability or a known medical condition, that you let the Senior Tutor senior.tutor@nuffield.ox.ac.uk know as soon as possible, but certainly on acceptance of your offer. The College can then liaise with you over any additional requirements for the accommodation.

Please note that the College will only recognise guide dogs as an assistance animal.

Couples accommodation

The College has 6 one-bed and 4 studio flats in Thames Street, around a 15 minute walk from the College. Priority is given to new students with partners. Current students may put their names on a waiting list but please note that offers are made on the basis of your Nuffield year, not on a first come, first served basis. Please indicate on your accommodation application form if you require couples accommodation.

Preferences

You may note on your accommodation application form any preferences you may have, eg ensuite, onsite. The College does its best to take preferences into account when allocating accommodation, but cannot make any guarantees. Please remember that Nuffield College is situated in the city centre and therefore there will be noise to a greater or lesser extent.
