Moving in
The College asks new students to arrive on the New Student Registration Day (this will be noted on your accommodation application form). Students travelling from abroad may arrive a day earlier, and students attending the Economics MPhil maths course may arrive on the previous Friday. We ask that students do not arrive over a weekend, when there are less staff around to deal with any potential issues.
Arriving on the registration day
The Lodge Porter will direct you to where the registration is taking place. You will meet the Senior Tutor, the Accommodation Manager, the Student Administrator and a member of the Library team. You will be officially registered as a student (assuming the required documentation has been previously received), and receive all relevant information including keys.
Arriving earlier or later
A pack containing a letter to let you know what steps you need to take on arrival, your keys and IT logon details will be left at the Lodge for you to collect. You must collect this before 10.30pm on your arrival day. Please follow instructions in the letter so that your registration can be completed.
Please take the time to read the information booklet in your accommodation, which includes important fire safety and security information.
Please do not bring:
- Electric bikes or scooters (the charging of e-bike batteries anywhere in College is currently banned)
- Candles
- Foreign travel plugs
- Electric blankets
- Portable heaters
